Adult’s Flu and Covid Booster Vaccinations. Covid Booster vaccination clinics will run in the practice for our registered patients and all temporary Rathkeale residents Clinics will continue on Thursdays from 2pm to 4:30 pm. Please phone the surgery for an appointment to attend for vaccine. Criteria for Booster: • If between 12 and 15 it must be 6 months since you have had a covid vaccine For patients 16+ years of age and 3 months since second dose * • *If you have been diagnosed with Covid after being partially vaccinated (ie had received one shot only) or have had Covid and have not been vaccinated at all then you can receive a vaccine one month after diagnosis. This will greatly enhance your immunity against further infection. • If you have been diagnosed with Covid after having had both your doses of vaccine then you must wait 4 months from your diagnosis before you can receive your booster. • For second doses 21 days need to have passed since your first dose. patients over 16 years with more than 3 months since last Covid vaccine are eligible for vaccination. If over 65, 4 months must have elapsed since your last Covid vaccine dose.
